The Perfect Morning

A delicious bowl of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios brightened by a glimpse of the sunrise.
 Homework time
I figured I'd keep my trend up by dressing hippie again.
The day after Halloween, I stayed home from school. And I was glad I did, because for once, I got to see and do the beautiful things I've been meaning to. I always wanted to have a simple life, where I would get up and see the beautiful sunrise shining through my window. Then I'd have a nice, healthy/yummy breakfast. Finally, I'd do the things that I've been meaning to do, whether that was for work or for fun. I think this day came very close to my vision.
When I woke up, I stayed in bed a while, and I watched the Halloween episode of Bewitched on my iPod that I've been wanting to see. Then, when I officially got up, I went downstairs and poured myself a bowl of cereal and milk. I sat in my breezeway and stared up at the sun shining through the window. It was beautiful. For once, I could actually enjoy my morning. It was wonderful! I took a peak outside too and I could smell that distinct smell of the morning, with that crisp autumn smell mixed in. To me, it was perfection.
Most mornings, during the week I rush to get ready and then am off to school. I just hate how there's never any time to go outside and appreciate nature. We're locked in school for too long, in my opinion. On the weekends, I'm usually sleeping in and don't ever get to experience the quiet hush the real early morning. But today, was different.
I got to take my time getting ready. I carefully picked out my outfit, and put a hippie band around my head, and I was ready for the day! The real reason I stayed home was to finish homework....I've never stayed home from school randomly my whole life..so I guess today was the only exception. So the rest of the day, I worked on homework, and I read my book "The Help."
I had a terrific day that was enjoyed thoroughly, and I wish I could have more of them.
