Celebrating Beatlemania

What my day will consist of.

My outfit for the day (this photo was actually from a couple months ago, but I decided to do another photoshoot with it to celebrate the Beatles!)
Lots of color in my room.
Reading about the Beatles in my 1964 16 Magazine.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles arrival in America! Even though I hadn't lived through Beatlemania, (and I wish I did) I still can't believe it's already been 50 years! It's crazy to think of how long it actually has been since that first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show that made the country crazy over these four boys from Liverpool. Since then, Beatlemania has only grown stronger, and their music has been enjoyed from generation to generation and still continues to do so. All four of the Beatles together, were creative geniuses, and produced a variety of sounds on each of their records. Although there is no longer Beatles hairspray, or Beatles ice cream, the stores are still lined with Beatles shirts, notebooks, and cds, which shows everyone's infinite love for these four men.
Here is my take on Beatlemania. I am wearing a 1970s polka dot dress, under a modern Beatles shirt. In the previous pictures I am reading a 16 Magazine from 1964, which naturally, had their names written all over it!
As the year progresses, I'll be writing more about them, and featuring products from the 60s, and early fangirls, but for now, I will just post my take on Beatlemania. Stay tuned for more in the coming months though!

Color Wheel

The best way to get pumped for a Spanish exam? Listening to a Spanish Joan Baez album!
Got a few Life magazines in a giveaway pile at the library.
 Winter cotten candy skies.

After school snack, and some Linda Ronstadt! (One of my new favorite artists)
Portrait of me in one of my favorite vintage shirts! I finally decided to wear something vintage despite the cold weather!
Here are just a few color snippets from my life over the past couple weeks. Recently, I’ve been in and out of school between mid-terms and snow days, and it’s been pretty hectic. But I am glad that the weather has died down and that I am finally back on track with a new and improved schedule. I think the best thing about senior year is not only are you able to take less classes, but you are able to pick classes that interest you, rather than ones that are mandatory to take. I have a new English class about American Immigration and Diversity, and I’m finding it pretty interesting. I’m also taking psychology, and chorus, and plenty of study halls. It still amazes me though that I have less than 6 months left of school. It’s crazy and surreal at the same time. To think I will no longer be in high school anymore after June. But I am trying to make the most of it while I can, because no matter how much it annoys me, I know I will miss it when I leave. The teachers, and the classes, and I’ll admit, even sometimes the students. And just the whole nurturing atmosphere in general, I know it will certainly be different when I get to collage. So I’ve realized to cherish every day I have there!
